Cycling Gloves
While cycling gloves aren’t necessarily required, they are usually recommended; especially when taking long rides. These gloves not only protect your hands from cuts and scrapes during an accident, but they can also help reduce arm and wrist fatigue as well. They can be found in a variety of styles and are available through most bike dealers.
Cycling gloves can be found for both the road cyclist and the mountain bike enthusiast. Each style of cycling has slightly different demands, and as such the gloves for each are slightly different. As a general rule, road gloves have the fingers cut off, whereas a mountain bike glove is often found in full-finger designs.
Cycling gloves can also be purchased for differing weather conditions. As previously mentioned, most road bikes have cut-off fingers, but for cold weather full-finger versions are available. Glove liners are also a popular option for cold weather.
